Abstract

The European Commission has been engaged in consultation on the form and scope of an EU collective redress mechanism for some time, persisting with the broad thrust of its policy as originally outlined in its Green Paper in 2005 on damages actions in EU competition law. This article considers why a European collective redress framework would be desirable.
