Abstract

This paper reviews the development of educational programs in gerontology and notes several current and anticipated manpower issues in gerontology. It presents the reserach findings of a study focused on M.S.W.s and their interests, study and practice experience in gerontology as they relate to manpower issues. Several educational program models are suggested as potential enhancements to current gerontological manpower development.
