Abstract

The significance of the life of Jesus Christ takes on different meanings within the major religions. However, universal across religions, is the acceptance that Jesus was a good person worthy of being emulated. This article examines the possibility of using Jesus Christ as an example of pastoral care to those who are hurting. The article then expains four areas in which Jesus Christ is a model for pastoral care in the hospital setting.
