Abstract
Kent and colleagues report on the findings and recommendations of a workshop that was recently convened by the CliniGene Network on clinical gene and cell therapy medicinal products (GCTMP). Based on the workshop's findings, the authors propose a “Platform for Progress” that will help to facilitate the translation of gene transfer research and GCTMP development into the clinic as safely, and as efficiently as possible.
