Abstract

This article shows how the poetic works of Delmira Agustini and Alfonsina Storni subvert the resources of Modernismo. The disarticulation of the Modernista esthetic seems to communicate a certain level of instability in their poetry. This poetic procedure leads to a fragmented subjectivity. Therefore, these authors could be included within Posmodernismo (e.g. López Velarde et alia). Agustini and Storni's main purpose is to search a discourse that allows them to re-think and revise the poetic language in order to express in new terms their own experience of difference.
