Abstract
Although touch-entry devices offer a number of advantages in low-resolution situations, requirements for high-resolution input must take into account the inherent biases and limitations of the operator. After the determination of operator bias in making high-resolution descriminations, attempts were made to examine the applicability of performance models for reducing the amount of “registered” error. It was found that bias error could be reduced, but that individual models are probably necessary for this to be done effectively.
