Abstract

The cesarean scar is an uncommon location for an ectopic pregnancy and accounts for approximately 6% of all ectopic pregnancies. This rate is thought to be on the rise due to an increasing rate of c-sections worldwide. We present a case of total laparoscopic hysterectomy in the management of cesarean section scar ectopic pregnancy. This patient was a 34-year-old G5P4 who was taken for surgery after failing methotrexate for medical management of a cesarean scar ectopic pregnancy with a gestational age of 8w3d.
