Total cross sections for electron capture processes in slow collisions of Ne6+ ions with H2O and CO2

Abstract

Using the translation energy-gain spectroscopy technique, we have measured the energy-gain spectra and absolute total cross sections for single-electron capture by Ne6+ ions from H2O and CO2 at laboratory impact energies between 250 and 3000 eV.
