Abstract
Hexagonal vanadium monophosphide (VP) nanoparticles were prepared and examined as an anode material in rechargeable Li-ion batteries. Topotactic Li insertion/extraction in VP was suggested as the mechanism. The VP electrode exhibited excellent electrochemical performance, highlighting its potential as a new alternative anode material in Li-ion batteries.
