Abstract
The article is devoted to the methodology of teaching toponyms in the system of classes in Russian as a foreign language on the example of the theme “My Country”. Popular tourist routes of Russia are considered: the Golden Ring, Silver Ring, Sayan Ring and others. The names of cities, rivers, lakes, etc. are being studied.
