Abstract

The goal of this study is to use finite element analysis to try and determine the best load distribution for a silencer guard. The topology optimization model based on equivalent static load is also included in this study. The present work describes optimizing the existing design of the silencer guard using Finite Element Method (FEM). The CAD model is developed by using Creo Software for creating a volume mesh. The investigation's findings showed that it is possible to reduce the weight of the silencer plate while still maintaining a lightweight and structurally sound design. Through this method, weight decrease is successfully predicted before optimization 1.0052 kg and after optimization 0.96244 kg.
