Abstract
We present a calculation of the parity-violating analyzing power in proton-proton scattering using weak coupling constants predicted by the topological chiral soliton model of the nucleon. The results are compared with the predictions using quark-model parity-violating parameters. We also perform a calculation using weak and strong vertex functions obtained consistently from the chiral soliton model. Within the framework of that model, we can justify the use of the same form factors for the weak and strong meson-nucleon vertices. We discuss the predictive power of a planned experiment at Tt/${\mathrm{r}}_{\mathit{l}\mathit{a}\mathit{b}}$=222 MeV.
