Abstract

Topological Photonics Advancements in topological photonics encompass a class of devices implemented on silicon photonics platforms, which is an especially compelling class due to their CMOS-compatibility and applicability to silicon photonics commercial applications. A review of recent developments in topological silicon photonics showcases unique phenomena including chirality, scatter-free light propagation around sharp bends, and topological protection against defects, disorder, and scattering.
