Abstract
The design of multistage planetary gear trains is complicated and difficult to obtain completed configuration scheme. Purpose of this paper is to give a method to design the configuration scheme of multistage planetary differential gear trains. Firstly, a new topological representation of planetary gear transmission is put forward. Then, three kinds of combinations of basic components in planet gear set are obtained based on the mathematical combination theory. Lastly, the connection types of basic components in planet gear set are changed, all possible configuration schemes of NW two stages planetary differential gear train are then obtained . The result shows that it is a way for innovative design of multistage planetary gear transmission.
