Abstract
Analysis of skewed memory schemes for parallel implementation of Kohonen’s topological feature maps are presented in this paper. It is found that linear skewing is more general and more effective for this problem as compared with other memory skewing schemes. Implementations on parallel machines and performance results will also be presented.
