Abstract

Background: Cerebral microbleeds (CMBs) are small hemosiderin deposits that indicate previous extravasation from cerebral small vessels. CMBs appear as small, rounded and homogeneous hypointensity lesions on MRIT2*. CMBs are an important risk factor for subsequent intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). However, the correlation of the location of ICH with that of prior CMBs is unclear.
