Abstract

Tooth bearing of addendum modified symmetrical conformal gears is analyzed and surface durability of the gear is compared to that of non-modified gear experimentally. It is found that the influence of the center distance error on the load carrying capacity and the tooth bearing addendum modified gearing is less than that in conventional symmetrical conformal gearing.
