Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of the study is to identify the specifics of new threats to the economic security of the state that arise in the conditions of digitalization of economic activity, as well as the formation of a comprehensive system to reduce them. The authors investigated and systematized economic security threats of the state in the digital economy: illegal activity on the Internet as a result of internetization; development of hidden segments of the network DeepWeb and DarkWeb; growth of financial crimes associated with the emergence of new types of digital assets. The authors emphasized the need to create an institutional framework for regulating activities on the Internet and reduce economic security threats of the state in the digital environment. The authors proved the effectiveness of the formation of a new state control body in the field of information technology – the “apparatus for monitoring illegal information on the Internet”, and also formed the body architecture. The authors suggest ways to adapt the experience of foreign countries in preventing economic security threats emanating from the hidden segment of the DarkWeb network to Russia (a combination of mechanical methods and machine algorithms for searching for cybercrime manifestations; active monitoring of information from the open Internet segment; interception of mail to combat the sale of illegal goods through the DarkWeb network; the use of machine learning and Big data technologies; tracking cash flows when buying and selling digital currency).KeywordsEconomic securityThreatsDark webInternetDigital economyJEL Code033038M 15E21
