Abstract

An examination of the perceptions held by Asian students who are alumnae of Hunter College High School, Stuyvesant High School, Lowell High School, and Boston Latin School. This paper explores the way that Asian Americans at these schools have internalized the model minority stereotype and the ways they deal with their identity. Thesis explores the concept of whiteness amongst Asian Americans and discusses the controversy of the increasing number of Asian students at these schools.
