Abstract
A general survey of what has been learned regarding intraocular tension by the use of the tonometer is given. To supplement what has been learned of intraocular tension in human eyes observations have been made on rabbits' eyes, both normal and those that were in various respects defective. These seem to show the limits of intraocular pressure in normal rabbit eyes and some wide departures from the normal in the eyes of defective stock. The studies were made in the Zoological Laboratory of the University of Wisconsin. A general survey of what has been learned regarding intraocular tension by the use of the tonometer is given.
