Abstract
A 64-year-old woman with recently diagnosed insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus and hypertension being treated with metoprolol, hydralazine, and furosemide was admitted to the hospital for evaluation of abdominal pain. Five months before admission she had had resection of a transverse colon carcinoma. Colonoscopy on the current admission showed multiple polyps throughout the colon, several of which were removed endoscopically.
