TomoTherapy Based IMRT for Breast Cancer with Skull Metastases

Abstract

Introduction: A 59 year old lady presented 15 years ago with grade 3 invasive ductal breast carcinoma T2N1M0, ER positive and Her2 negative disease, and was treated with curative intent. Twelve years later she presented with mediastinal metastasis with superior venacaval obstruction and bone disease. She received radiotherapy, oral ibandronate and different hormonal treatments over the next few years to control the cancer with no evidence of visceral metastasis. In March 2010 she had scalp pain alone and elevation of Ca 15.3.
