Abstract

A study has been made of the effects of limited angular extent testing and of different ranges of discrete signal frequency on the quality of tomographic image reconstruction based on a backscattering coherent processing technique. By means of computer simulations, the qualitative relationship between the resolution and the location capability has been derived as a function of the angular extents and frequency ranges employed. Some useful conclusions have been obtained.
