Abstract

SUMMARYIsolates of Botrytis cinerea which grew rapidly and sporulated on media containing 1,000 p.p.m. benomyl were obtained from mummified fruits of (a) strawberry plants treated one year previously with a Benlate drench to control Verticillium dahliae, and (b) raspberry plants variously sprayed with Benlate to control B. cinerea. Isolates of Penicillium corymbiferum with the same level of benomyl tolerance were obtained from Benlate‐treated tulip bulbs. Isolates of V. dahliae were also obtained from the strawberry plants treated one year previously with Benlate drench, but they were intolerant of benomyl.
