Abstract

J. Michael Rodgers, MEMBER SPIE* Optical Research Associates 3280 E. Foothill Blvd, Suite 300 Pasadena, California 91107 Abstract. An effective method of assigning tolerances to a null lens is to determine the effects of null-lens fabrication and alignment errors on the end-use system itself, not simply the null lens. This paper describes a method to assign null-lens tolerances based on their effect on any performance parameter of the end-use system. © 2000 Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers.
