Abstract
This study was done to determine the favorable lentil cultivars for autumn and spring sowing in Tokat conditions during 1998-2000 years. The research was carried out as a randomized blocks factorial arrangement with 3 replications. Autumn sowing was done on November, spring sowing was done on March and 12 lentil cultivars were used. Plant height, number of seeds per plant, 1000 seed weight, biological yield, seed yield and harvest index properties were evaluated in the experiment It was found that plant height, 1000 seed weight, and biological yield were higher in autumn sowing and harvest index was higher in spring sowing. Seed yield per decare did not different in autumn and spring sowings. Seed yield varied from 93.78 kg da'1 to 172.56 kg da'1 in the cultivars. The highest seed yield in autumn sowing was in Seyran-96 (183.96 kg da-1) and that of spring sowing was in ILL-1939 and Seyran-96 cultivars (161.57 and 161.21 kg da1, respectively).
