Abstract

Making knowledge includes creating the practices of knowing. Setting up our apparatus, we create diffractive encounters between the oscillating fields of Mary Parker Follett’s pragmatist theorizing about evolving situations; Barad’s account of diffraction; and our two scholars’ bodies, separately engaged in researching organizational socialization and family business. This article illustrates our collaborative writing to experiment with diffracting situations in empirical studying. From Follett’s concept, we offer the creative integration of gesammting (togethering) situations in diffraction. This article illustrates the uneasy boundary-performance in postqualitative inquiry and arrives at integratively selving as a practice of emerging generative futures.
