Abstract

There were significant reductions in cigarette use among U.S. adults with major depression, substance use disorder (SUD), or both from 2006 to 2019, according to a new analysis by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) published last week. The study was conducted by NIDA researchers and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
