To the Question of the Possibility of Using Forensically Relevant Information from Automated Information Retrieval Systems for Solving and Investigating Crimes

Abstract

The author describes how investigators could use various opportunities for obtaining forensically relevant information needed to solve and investigate crimes from automated information systems and specialized software for special complexes of the information retrieval service “Sledopyt-M”, such as: information about the passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation; individual pension insurance account number, information about their personal account, payments to the insured person and their salary over a certain period of time; information about opened and closed bank accounts; information on administrative practice; on the use of railway and aviation transport on the territory of the Russian Federation through the technical complex “Rozysk-Magistral” and others. The degree of the implementation of these technologies was researched using the positive practical experience of the investigation divisions of the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Irkutsk Region at the district level.
