Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of periodization of Buryat didactic literature. This article provides the chronological periodization of the Buryat didactic literature’ s development from the point of view of its content and structure. We define three periods, they are: the first period (XIII–XIV centuries); the second period (XV–XVII centuries) envelopes the general, all-Mongolian literature or the pre­Buryat stage; and the third period (the II half of the XIX — early XX centuries) coincides with the development of Buryat didactic literature as it is. Based on the analysis, the authors could define and study the periods’ formation and development of the literary process of Buryat literature. Systematization of aesthetic and artistic approaches, methods, techniques within the development of literature allows the authors to deduce theoretical and conceptual guidelines of the future research. In the article the authors tries to realize an objective and in-depth analysis of genres, styles, structure and content of the most prominent works in a holistic unity on each stages.
