Abstract

The article is devoted to the interaction of religious and journalistic styles of the Ukrainian literary language. The openness of religious texts to updating the stylistic norm is substantiated in connection with the general trends of polymorphism of the modern stylistic system. Semantic and stylistic changes in the functioning of socio-political vocabulary, development of rational and expressive evaluation of key concepts of modern journalistic texts are analyzed in the language of preaching and journalistic-religious genres based on fixation in common language dictionaries Ukrainian literary language – of Ukraine, war – peace, defender – enemy. Journalistic names in religious texts acquire a new sacred meaning through the use of biblical comparisons, comparison with the foundations of Christian axiology. A religious text, preserving its own core of stylistic language means, creates conditions for rethinking key journalistic concepts, for building their rational and expressive evaluation potential in the context of Christian values. Globalization trends, psychologically complex challenges of the times cause stylistic transformations of the language of sermons, religious and journalistic genres, as well as literary language in general.
