Abstract

The article highlights the life path of one of the founders of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Reverend Feodosius Pecherskyi. The attention is focused on the period of the ascetic's monastic life, his ascetic exploits, devotion to spiritual service, active civic position in difficult historical periods. The contribution of Feodosius Pecherskyi to the development of the monastery, the organization of monastic life, the introduction of the Studio Statute, and the establishment of book writing are considered. The teachings of Feodosius Pecherskyi are analyzed from the perspective of the Christian worldview.
