OBJECTIVES: The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends all neonates born at <37 weeks gestational age (GA), and all infants at risk for cardiorespiratory compromise while seated in a semi-reclined position, undergo Car Seat Tolerance Screening (CSTS) prior to discharge.
