Abstract

One of the many studies carried out to study the effect that Covid -19 pandemic had on women professionals during the 21st century pandemic is the Deloitte Global Survey on ‘Understanding the pandemic’s effect on working women.’
 The survey is significant for bringing to light critical aspects on women professionals. It states that close to 7/10 women faced negative changes in their normal lives because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, women participating in the study believed that their career development would slow down. For many working professionals, the pandemic:
 
 Disturbed their work-life balance leading to impacting their mental and physical health
 Negatively impacted their present and long-term career prospects
 Led to them working longer hours along with additional care-giving responsibilities because of closing of school, elderly care while also working full-time
