Abstract

A Plea for Normalcy Isaac Shapiro Isaac Shapiro has served as a longtime partner of the law firm ofSkadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom, helping to establish its foreign office network. From 1959 to 1974 he served as an adjunct professor of Soviet law at New York University Law School and in 2000 taught Russian law at Columbia Law School. In 1962, he wrote, with the late professor John N. Hazard of Columbia, the landmark The Soviet Legal System: Post-Stalin Documentation and Historical Commentary.
