Abstract

The experimental results on crystallization of Pb in dynamic centrifugal casting apparatus of a new type, with a rotor speed 3000 rev/min have considered. In the crystallized Pb, vacancy clusters with an average tube diameter 39 nm have revealed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). After the dynamic centrifugal casting process, two Pb melting temperatures have been recorded by DSC method. A remarkable enhancement of the mechanical properties of recrystallized Pb have established by dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). The paper is devoted to the physical model of the vacancy clusters conversion to nanopipes and possible change of physical properties of metals after dynamic centrifugal casting at speeds of the order 3000 rev/min.
