Abstract
Berdasarkan Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) tahun 2022, jumlah populasi lanjut usia (lansia) di Indonesia diperkirakan meningkat menjadi 25 persen dari seluruh penduduk Indonesia, yaitu sekitar 80 juta jiwa pada tahun 2050. Dengan cakupan BPJS yang meluas, akan makin besar jumlah lansia yang mendapatkan layanan kesehatan, termasuk jika memerlukan tindakan pembedahan. Secara umum, jumlah pembedahan pada kelompok ini meningkat setiap tahun. Dari total pembedahan, sekitar 53% dilakukan pada populasi berusia > 65 tahun.
