Abstract
In this paper, an analytical model to calculate magnetic field distribution for Planar Spiral Coil (PSC) is proposed. The magnetic field modeling plays a crucial role where magnetic field uniformity is of highest concern. PSC of three turns, inner radius (1mm), is modeled with the proposed model. Analytical results are verified with experimentally measured magnetic field results. Analytical modeling is carried out in MATLAB, whereas 3D FDTD tool Computer Simulation Technology (CST) is used for simulation.
