Abstract

A 13-year-old boy presented with a 3-month history of blunt trauma to the right eye. On examination, his visual acuity and intraocular pressures were normal in both eyes. Slit-lamp examination of the right eye showed a multi-loculated purple iris lesion measuring 4 × 4 mm with minimal hyphema (Fig A). Conservative management was advised. At 5-months follow-up, the lesion grew in size but remained asymptomatic (Fig B). At 9-months follow-up, the lesion spontaneously decreased in size and demonstrated pockets of yellow, dehemoglobinized blood (Fig C).
