Abstract

The rating curve of water in the river is an important characteristic of the water regime. In this article, the series of maximum annual levels and discharges of the Zlaya River (hydrological post Priozerye, Kaliningrad region) are indicated; rating curves of Zlaya River for different years were constructed. It has been established that the number of maximum annual discharges of the Zlaya River after 1991 tends to decrease, while the linear trend of the maximum annual levels shows an increase. The largest positive drawdown of the rating curve of Zlaya River was recorded from the early 60s to the mid-70s of the 20th century, which, presumably, was affected by the commissioning of a large array of drained lands during this period. The results of the study can be used in conducting hydrological surveys, developing measures for water resources management.
