Abstract
Recently, the question of finding microbes in various parts of a woman's genital canal again takes the attention of researchers. I will point out, for example, the work of Krnig, Menge, Walthard, and Winter, so much earlier in this area. This question is really extremely important and is of great importance not only in practical, but also in biological relations. Since my work on this subject, published only in Russian in 1893, is cited by Walthard and Winter) and, unfortunately, the last time not quite exactly, then may I be allowed here to pay attention to these inaccuracies, and the main thing is to point out the difference in the methods of research, due to which various conclusions were obtained by the indicated authors and me.

На основаніи вышеизложенныхъ фактовъ и критическаго разбора методовъ изслѣдованія, высказанныя мною положенія, а именно: 1) Шейка матки какъ беременныхъ такъ и небеременныхъ здоровыхъ женщинъ какъ правило стерильна, 2) Область наружнаго зѣва отдѣляетъ стерильныя части отъ не стерильныхъ въ половомъ каналѣ женщины, 3) Слизь шейки матки убиваетъ микроорганизмовъ, остаются и до сихъ поръ въ полной силѣ
