Abstract

Dong Thap village’s communal houses retain the traces of worshiping beliefs of the local people in the past. The ranks of the gods were conferred and protected according to the secular style. Accordingly other gods - results from the needs of the localization of Vietnam people, the cultural exchange with the Chinese, the Campanagara, the Chenla - all gathered at the village communal houses to shetter and enjoy of ferings together with the main god - the Deity. After making a survey, this article presents basic introduction of gods being worshiped in the village communal houses, providing basis for the promotion of the local culture in planning, embellishing written evidence of the village communal houses in the morden time.
