Abstract

A study of south shore of Bourgneuf Bay is proposed from a multiband SPOT-1 image. In order to improve interpretation of radiometric values from satellite, fields measurements have been done with ground truth radiometer intented to simulate the SPOT satellite. Reflectance parameters and interference between reflectance parameters are shown. After spectral analysis and spatial analysis of SPOT radiometric values, relation between reflectance and SPOT radiometric values is made. A classification by an aggregation around mobile centers is then made to bring out shore surfaces. Sedimentologic nature, rugosity and position in comparison with instantaneous shoreline determine wetness, first cause for reflectance. Wetness keeps sometimes hypsometric value and anothers times granulometric or micro-morphologic values.
