Abstract

Residual stress and lattice defects in commercial zinc anodes are essential factors for dendrite formation during zinc deposition as they lead to a heterogeneous deposition and limit the epitaxial growth of zinc. In their Research Article (e202218612), Haiyan Wang et al. propose an annealing strategy for lattice defect repair and residual stress relief. As a result, a reconstructed zinc anode achieved a highly epitaxial growth.
