Abstract
In this article, we reported that Titanium (Ti) substituted layered O3-type NaFe9/20Cr9/20Ti1/10O2 (O3-NFCT) cathode material was successfully synthesized via simple solid-state reaction for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs). The synthesized cathode material was indexed to rhombohedral structure with space group R-3 m. The hexagonal shaped sample delivered a discharge capacity of 140.63 mAh g−1 at 0.1C in the voltage range 2 to 4 V and capacity retention of 70.6% after 50th cycles. Partial Titanium substitution has increased NaO2 interlayer spacing of the prepared cathode material, which enriched the electrochemical property of the material.
