Abstract
In this review we discuss the application of tissue printing of plant material on nitrocellulose paper. A number of different approaches and applications can be used with imprinted nitrocellulose paper. These include immunocytochemistry, protein staining and morphological analysis of imprinted tissue. The ease with which tissue imprints on nitrocellulose papers can be handled and processed for a number of cytochemical and morphological analyses makes this technique a powerful new tool for use by plant biologists.
