Abstract
ABSTRACT Unfinished composts prepared from peat, fish scrap, crab scrap and seaweeds were found by tissue-culture tests to contain some toxic components present or formed in starting materials. However, no toxins tested were present in the mature composts. The data thus revealed the usefulness of the tests, and high hygienic quality of the composts.
