Abstract

Perivascular treatment to prevent intimal hyperplasia (IH) after vascular reconstruction has attracted vascular specialists regarding potential drug delivery. However, none has reached clinical application. To overcome the limitations of former perivascular methods, we invented a novel “paintable” platform with surface-modified unimolecular micelles (UMs). We performed this study to show the safety and efficacy of tissue adhesive UMs for preventing IH in preclinical models.
