Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of tirofiban combined with nicorandil for patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and its effect on the levels of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP-9) and endothelial cell microparticles (EMPs). Methods The data of 136 AMI patients receiving emergency percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) at our hospital from April, 2017 to April, 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into a control group and a combination group according to different treatment methods, 68 cases for each group. The control group were treated with tirofiban, and the combination group with tirofiban and nicorandil. The electrocardiographic efficacis of the two groups were analyzed. The serum levels of MMP-9 and EMPs were compared. The occurrence of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) was observed. Results The total effective rate of electrocardiogram in the combination group was 94.12%, which was significantly higher than that in the control group (73.53%), with a statistical difference between the two groups (P 0.05). On the 7th day after the operation, the levels of MMP-9 and EMPs in the combination group were significantly lower than those in the control group (both P<0.05). The incidences of heart failure and malignant arrhythmia in the combination group were significantly lower than those in the control group (1.47% vs. 11.76% and 2.94% vs. 13.24%; both P<0.05). Conclusion Tirofiban combined with nicorandil can significantly improve the ECG efficacy of patients with AMI undergoing emergency PCI, reduce the levels of MMP-9 and EMPs in peripheral blood, improve endothelial cell function, and reduce the occurrence of MACE.
