Abstract

Surgery for advanced stage ovarian cancer is aimed at obtaining maximal cytoreduction with no residual disease. Multiple factors relating to patient selection and associated patient medical comorbidities, surgical skills, availability of adequate theatre time and equipment influence the surgical outcome. Following is a brief synopsis of conduct of cytoreductive surgery for AOC at Pan-Birmingham Gynaecology Cancer Centre.
